They grew up in a world where results were much more linear.
We have to show others that there is more than one way to reach the goal, until they are shown it, will be difficult for them to see it - this is what leadership is all about.
Which is why I think creators/writers et al will always be a minority (even if it is millions of people) because it takes a certain type of person to stop accepting what they see and know and to be hungry enough to search for additional answers.

People get stuck because they can only make decisions based on the perspective they already have, not the perspective they've yet to gain.
